Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of JOI, including the website at my-joi.com and the JOI macOS application (collectively, the "Service"), operated by JOI ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use JOI. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

  • JOI Basic is free and includes limited access to Gemini 2.5 Flash, screen context (15 images/day), and voice commands.
  • JOI Pro is $40/month and includes expanded model access, unlimited screen context, app connectors, memory, chat history, and priority support.
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use JOI for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Use JOI to generate content that is harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the JOI application
  • Resell or redistribute access to JOI without authorization
  • Abuse rate limits or circumvent usage restrictions on your plan

5. Third-Party Services

JOI integrates with third-party AI providers and app connectors. Your use of these integrations is also subject to the respective third party's terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

6. AI-Generated Content

JOI uses third-party AI models to generate responses. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before relying on it. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI responses.

7. Connector Permissions

When you connect third-party accounts (Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, etc.), you authorize JOI to access and act on those accounts on your behalf. You can revoke access at any time by disconnecting the connector from your dashboard or revoking permissions in the third-party service.

8. Intellectual Property

The JOI name, logo, and application are our property. You retain ownership of any content you create or provide through the Service. By using JOI, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JOI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to JOI at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes.
